The Kitchener-Waterloo Knitters’ Fair is the oldest and largest one-day knitting event in Canada. Organized and hosted by the Kitchener-Waterloo Knitters' Guild, it is truly organized "by knitters, for knitters". The planning committee for the KW Knitters’ Fair is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, accessible, and inclusive event for everyone. If you witness or experience abusive or discriminatory behaviour at the Fair, and you feel safe to do so, please speak with a Fair Committee member or a Safe Space Ambassador. All Fair Committee members will be wearing purple “Fair Committee” t-shirts, and Safe Space Ambassadors will be in a rainbow “Safe Space Ambassador” sash. A designated safe space at the Fair will be located upstairs in the Viewing Lounge between the arenas. Look for the safe space symbol on the attendee handout, or ask any volunteer or member of the Fair Committee.
